Day 0.0

Speed

Video mode matches the film's pace, camera, labels and numbers. 1x is one mission day per second. Scroll or pinch to zoom and drag to pan; space plays or pauses. Distances are from the surface.

The red line is the spacecraft's path and the white dot ringed in red is the spacecraft. The white line is the Moon's path over the last four weeks.

Once the Moon captures the spacecraft, its path is drawn around the Moon, so orbits show as loops.

For Apollo 11, the white dot ringed in gold is the lunar module Eagle, from leaving Columbia until it docked again. Zoom in on the Moon to see it land.
